Your Safety is Our Top Priority

To ensure maximum safety, CHI has instituted a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy across all of our events – all attendees, exhibitors, speakers and staff must be fully vaccinated to attend in person.

Attendees that cannot participate because of this policy, or due to travel restrictions, are encouraged to participate using our highly praised virtual event platform. Our virtual events are designed to provide you with an in-person experience at your convenience, anywhere, anytime.

Masking Requirements
CHI will follow all local guidelines. The city of Barcelona has a mask mandate in place for all indoor spaces. Please plan to wear a mask everywhere inside the event space (except while eating).

Cleaning Protocols
CHI will follow all local guidelines. Read more about how our venue is working to ensure safety here. We’ll also have hand sanitizing stations available throughout the event space for your use.

Our Code of Conduct

All in-person attendees must agree to CHI’s Code of Conduct . If you choose to attend in person, you agree to:

  • Provide proof that you have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Follow all safety protocols set by event staff, including masking
  • Not attend if you feel sick
  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Be respectful of your fellow attendees– everyone’s comfort level with social interactions is different

If you are not able to participate because of this policy, or due to travel restrictions, you are encouraged to attend the event virtually.

Flexible Registration Policy

Frequently Asked Questions

VACCINATION

How will CHI be verifying vaccination of attendees?
We will have “Vaccine Checkpoints” set up at the entrance to the event space. Here, our event staff will review your vaccine documentation and confirm that you are fully vaccinated and able to enter the event space. To save time, you can also send your vaccine documentation to vaccinepassport@healthtech.com (if your documentation is not in English, please include the vaccine you received and date of your shot(s) in the body of your email).

What does “fully vaccinated” mean?
You are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after your last vaccine dose. If you received a single dose vaccine (ie, Johnson & Johnson), you are fully vaccinated two weeks after your shot. If you received a vaccine that requires two shots (ie, Pfizer or Moderna), you are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after your second shot. If you don’t meet these requirements, you are NOT fully vaccinated, and will not be able to enter the event space.

Will CHI accommodate medical or religious exemptions?
Unfortunately, we are not able to make exceptions. If for any reason you cannot or will not be fully vaccinated at the time of the event, you will not be able to enter the event space. We welcome you to participate using our virtual platform.

I am not vaccinated, but I can provide a negative test – can I attend in person?
Unfortunately, we are not able to make exceptions. A negative test is not a substitute for vaccination. If you are not fully vaccinated at the time of the event, you will not be able to enter the event space. We welcome you to participate using our virtual platform.

I am not vaccinated, but I have already had COVID – can I attend in person?
Unfortunately, we are not able to make exceptions. The CDC recommends vaccination for COVID, even for those who have already been infected. If you are not fully vaccinated at the time of the event, you will not be able to enter the event space. We welcome you to participate using our virtual platform.

TRAVEL & TESTING

I’m traveling from outside the EU – what are the requirements for entry to Spain?

I’m not from Spain, what is the COIVD-19 policy for me to return to my country of origin?
If you are traveling from outside of Spain and returning home check with your country of origin rules for entry at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/COVID-19-Country-Specific-Information.html. Search for the country you are returning to. Follow all entry requirements for your destination and provide any required or requested health information.

I need to have a COVID-19 PCR test before I return home. Where do I do that? There are two options to obtain Covid Testing:
1) You can visit a local testing facility for your COVID test. Click here for a directory of locations. Appointments and/or fees may be required, and the type of tests offered may differ by location. 2) You can have the COVID testing come to you. PCR’s at Work offers COVID-19 PCR testing wherever you are located, at your convenience, with results available in 24 hours. Visit pcrsatwork.com for more information about their services.

ATTENDING IN PERSON

What should I expect when I arrive at the event?
Please follow the signs to the “Vaccine Checkpoint” and have your photo ID and vaccination card out and ready to show. A member of our staff will review your paperwork and confirm you are ok to enter the event space. You’ll receive a bracelet to show you have been checked and can proceed to the registration counter to collect your badge and event materials.

Is there anything special I need to do before I arrive at the event?
If you are travelling to Spain from another country, make sure you complete your health control form before you start your trip.

Is there anything special I need to bring with me to the event?
Please bring a copy of your vaccination card and a photo ID, even if you have already been prescreened (just in case). You may also want to bring a mobile device or laptop to join in some of our virtual sessions and speaker Q&As (please make sure your devices are fully charged; we do our best to make outlets available but cannot guarantee them).

How should we greet and meet our fellow attendees?
This one is up to you. Please follow your personal comfort level and respect the boundaries of your fellow attendees. Handshakes, waves and elbow bumps all welcome.
