SCOPE Europe 2019 Quotes

Marina Malikova, PhD, Executive Director, Surgical Translational Research: Operations and Compliance, Boston University School of Medicine

I think SCOPE Europe is a nice platform to exchange knowledge and share experience with European colleagues in the environment that we face in clinical trial’s conduct. With change in regulations and more demands in ever evolving technology, it’s important to develop new strategies and streamline processes to ultimately improve efficiencies of the clinical trial conduct in preparation to allow patients to access clinical trials faster. I think what makes it a very special environment is that you have people representing industries, CROs, and vendors. This is the second time it has taken place in Barcelona. It is certainly nice to see that it is a growing venue and a great platform once again to come learn something new, network with European colleagues, and establish new practices.

Jerome Chiaro, VP of Clinical Site Operations, StudyKIK

I think SCOPE is a great event - we’ve participated in the US event multiple times. Always a great turnout, a lot of clinical executives and there’s a lot of talks of innovation. I know one thing that Micah Lieberman and the CHI team does is choose the speakers that are passionate about what they are doing and also creating something new. Not talking about the same things over and over, always something new. At this event I liked a lot of the talks on Virtual Trials, AI, and a little about Chatbots which is exciting. There is a lot of technology focus which is very important to our core business and expanding that with executives as well.

Tom Johnson, Senior Director of Life Sciences Business Solutions, Exostar

We are expanding our business and working with a lot more European Pharma companies and so we looked at this with the success that we’ve had at the Florida event, and looked at this as an opportunity to meet more potential customers.

Valaince Penteng, Principal Consultant, Proclinical

We are a pharmaceutical staffing company, working worldwide. We are trying to increase in the US, but at the same time grow in Europe. We came here to get a better understanding of what’s going in the industry, the trend, the change, and see how we can best help these companies. I think it’s been great, we’ve had interesting conversations, some have had urgent needs, and some are just looking.  Moreover, we have extended a relationship here that we are happy to see move to a new technology and new digital area.

Wayne Baker, Chief Commercial Officer, Greenphire

We’ve been a big supporter of SCOPE in the US for a number of years and we were thrilled to see the event starting here in Europe last year. We were supportive of the first event last year and again this year. We are pleased to see the growth so far and we are looking forward on continuing to support SCOPE in the years to come from now.

Raj Pallapothu, mHealth Global Business Lead, Bayer Pharmaceuticals; mHealth Global Advocate

The SCOPE Summit producers are not just content providers like everybody else, but they are actually promoting the health practices to the industry. You are contributing to the industry more than just being an event organization.

Lauren Ozmore, Marketing Director, WCG

SCOPE is quickly growing to be the most attractive industry conference for us given the quality of people that attend and the sessions that they put on. We get the best return on our time and investment with SCOPE.
This conference is top-notch every time. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with CHI – they’ve made the planning process easy and stress-free for us!
